UPDATE: 12/26... Nes arrived at Childrens Hospital overnight in stable condition.

Update: 12/28...
Her condition is still being determined. The current thinking is viral myocarditis. A condition where the heart muscle becomes inflamed due to a viral infections, although nothing has been determined.
Brain functions appear to be normal and they removed the EEG and will be doing an MRI when she's off ECMO. The ECHO showed improvement of her heart so they will turn down the ECMO machine today and if all goes well they want to take her all the way off that tomorrow.

Update 12/30
Surgery was completed and the breathing tube removed. Nes was awake and ate for the first time in days, asking for Bacon. Later, her stomach hurt, then her heart rate which was in the 60s to low 70s shot up to 118, then 135, then came back down to the 60s/70s. Labs are still being completed.

VANESSA'S Story
Nes is a fireball of a young lady to put it mildly. Or a Tom Boy on steroids is probably a better description! She is the youngest of 6 siblings and the only girl. Their mother Timber was recently murdered in a domestic violence incident and all 6 now reside with family members. Vanessa and 2 of her twin brothers are living with their aunt and uncle close to us and we are blessed to have them in our organization.
Not only as kids we support as part of our mission supporting domestic violence survivors, but all 3 activity participate is assisting the Foundation as Ally’s Angel’s. And we got them all hooked on playing paintball and mentoring other youth we assist like we do them. However, Vanessa is now fighting for her life due to the sudden illness still being diagnosed by doctors. She’s endured seizures, heart and breathing issues along with other symptoms no child should ever have to experience. Help us provide aid and support for her medical exspenses and family needs today.
